Furness General Hospital

Furness General Hospital, opened in 1984, is a hospital that services Barrow-in-Furness and the surrounding areas in Furness, Cumbria, England. It is owned and operated by the British National Health Service (NHS).
FGH has dealt with scenarios such as the towns 2002 legionnaires outbreak (7 deaths and 172 cases) and the 2007 Grayrigg Train Crash near Kendal. Furness General Hospital is also home to the laboratory where a DNA test was conducted on the body recovered from the infamous Bluebird which turned out to be Donald Campbell.
