Future of Forestry is an alternative Christian rock band from Southern California, USA who plays regularly at Flood, a ministry that meets weekly at Kearny High School in San Diego, and is pastored by Matt Hammett. However it was announced on March 11, 2007 that May 20, 2007 will be Future of Forestry's last day as the official Flood band. Future of Forestry was formed by the final members of Something Like Silas.

The name "Future of Forestry" is taken from a poem by famed Christian author C.S. Lewis.

On January 26, 2007, Future of Forestry's CD release concert sold out, beginning a three-month-long tour throughout Oregon, California, Arizona, New Mexico, Nevada, and Ohio.
