Primal Fear on saksalainen power metal/heavy metal -yhtye. Gamma Rayn ex-vokalisti Ralf Scheepers (laulu), Mat Sinner (Basso, taustalaulu), Stefan Leibingja Tom Naumann (kitarat) perustivat Primal Fearin vuonna 1997. Scheepers perusti yhtyeen, kun ei päässyt Rob Halfordin tilalle Judas Priestiin.
