Sorry to write in English, but my French is very bad (although I can read it more or less). I just want to point out that this Auguste de Marmont is responsible for one of the strangest buildings in the Netherlands. He has spend some time in the Neterlands, and to prevent his soldiers from boredom, he made them build a piramid. This piramid is still present, see nl:Pyramide van Austerlitz. He originally named it after himself as "Marmont Mountain", but was overruled later and the building was named after the Bataille d'Austerlitz. A small village with the name Austerlitz grew around the military place, and also this village still exists, see nl:Austerlitz (Nederland). (nl:Gebruiker:Taka)
