The Gallego sex slave killers are one of the infamous husband-and-wife serial killer couples. The couple, Gerald Gallego and Charlene Williams Gallego, terrorized Sacramento, California between 1978 and 1980. They had a total of ten victims, mostly teenagers, who were kept as sex slaves and finally killed.
[edit] Their Victims
- Rhonda Scheffler and Kippi Vaught - Rhonda and Kippi, aged seventeen and sixteen respectively, were shopping at Country Club Plaza Mall for their back-to-school needs on September 11, 1978. They were picked up by Charlene and put in the back of the couple's van.
Gerald sexually abused the two victims throughout the night, while Charlene drove the van northeast out of Sacramento on I-80. The victims were tied up with duct tape. After Gerald and Charlene abused their victims, they dragged the girls out of the van off the side of the road into a ditch. Gerald then shot the girls in the head with a .25-calibre semi-automatic pistol.
- Brenda Judd and Sandra Colley - Brenda (age 14) and Sandra (Age 13) were lured into the Gallego's van at the Washoe County Fair, Nevada on the promise of making some money delivering leaflets. They were then driven to an isolated spot near Lovelock, Nevada.
One account states that Gerald was unable to have sex with the girls, having hurt himself driving the van, and that Charlene molested them both. Another more recent account contends that Gerald raped them both while Charlene drove. In any case, Gerald then crushed their skulls with a spade and buried them in a shallow grave. Their remains were found in 1999 by a tractor driver,
