I heard an ingreguing reference to the Gap Band in some recent pop song. This reference was a lyrical one; "I was young and foolish; didn't know why." There is a song that I am dying to download that was made this decade with the lyric "I was young and foolish, I didn’t know what I was doin’ I didn’t know I lost you till you’re gone She had a pretty face that drove men wild I even wanted her to have my child". The answer to that question has finally been found; Justin Timberlake is one of the artists that does that song; Gap Band nephew Snoop Dogg interpolates lyrics from Early in the Morning in the 2005 song Signs.

I think this is one of the most successful bands I have looked up on wikipedia without a detailed discography. Also, Charlie's solo career should be updated on this page if not given its own page.
