Garden Spot High School

Garden Spot High School, located in New Holland, Pennsylvania, is a school where you can go to learn. Founded in the 1950s, this school has taught tens of thousands of people across America.
Garden Spot is most famous for its theater program "Garden Spot Performing Arts" (GSPA). This was started in the late 60's/early 70's by Stan Deen. (The school's auditorium was named after in Deen in 2000.) Stan's early collaborators were Frank Palumbo and David Martin. Stan and GSPA provided hundreds of students with life-changing experiences. Arguably, GSPA's most famous graduate is Bob Hoshour.
On Tuesday, January 23, 2007, security was tightened because of a shooting threat found on Friday, January 19, 2007. Garden Spot has now "caught up" with other schools around the country, as students are no longer allowed to carry backpacks in school.
22:57, 23 February 2007 (UTC) Most recently, on February 23, 2007, another threat was made saying "Tuesday, you will all die." Some students are beginning to get annoyed with all of the threats being written, as others are once again getting restless.

At approximately 12:35 pm on March 26th, 2007, a threat was discovered on a bathroom stall at the New Holland Elementary School. The threat referenced a shooting on Friday. The District Security Officer and Administration immediately began investigating, as well as, contacting the New Holland Police Department. Although the threat is somewhat specific, it is believed to lack authenticity; however, there will be additional security measures put in place, including the presence of police officers, on Friday. Further updates will be posted to the website if additional information develops.
At approximately 4:30 pm on March 29th, 2007 a student from New Holland Elementary School admitted to writing the threat posted earlier this week. The student indicated that the threat was a hoax and that no danger was intended whatsoever. The school district and the New Holland police will continue the follow-up with this case.
Garden Spot High School is also known for its Television news team, called KGSH. KGSH is a morning news program that informs students and teachers of upcoming school events, weather reports, sports news, and the ever popular e-news. This crew is one of the top high school news teams in Pennsylvania. KGSH was originally a radio station in Garden Spot High School, later converted to a TV station under the direction of Stan Deen.
