Gaston Nicolas Fernandez is an Argentinan football (soccer) player who currently plays for San Lorenzo in Argentina.
"La Gata" ("The Cat"), as he has been dubbed, previously played for River Plate in Argentina and was loaned for a big amount to Club de Futbol Monterrey. After the contract finished, Monterrey refused to pay the nearly two million dollars to permanently buy Gastón, thus, prompting Gastón to return to River Plate.
He has played for several Argentina's young teams, and is regarded as one of the promising Argentine youngsters.
