Geoff Barrow

Geoff Barrow (born 9 December 1971 in Walton in Gordano, Somerset, England) is the producer/instrumentalist for the band, Portishead. The band, formed in 1990, is named after the small town near Bristol where Barrow grew up.

On his intentions in forming Portishead: "I just wanted to make interesting music, proper songs with a proper life span and a decent place in people's record collections."
In 2002 Barrow & Adrian Utley recorded a cover version of The Shadows / Incredible Bongo Band's "Apache" which was released on limited white, green, pink and black vinyl 7" single under the name The Jimi Entley Sound... .
As "Fuzzface", Geoff Barrow co-produced Stephanie McKay's 2003 debut album, McKay. and has remixed the grave diggers and the pharside.
In 2005, Barrow, along with Utley, produced The Coral's third album, The Invisible Invasion.
Geoff also co-owns Invada Records a experimental music label based in bristol uk
