[edit] Mohammad Nabi Omari describes "Mr. Mark"
During his Combatant Status Review Tribunal Mohammad Nabi Omari told his Tribunal that he worked for an American official he knew only as "Mr. Mark".[1]
One of the allegations against Omari was that his phone number and address were found in an al Qaeda suspect's house. When Omari asked in whose house his phone number was found, his Tribunal told him that information had not been shared with the Tribunal.[1]
Omari then told his Tribunal he thought it was very unlikely that his phone number would be found listed on the files in an al Qaeda suspect's house.[1] But he would expect it to be in the American's files, because Mr Mark had given him the phone, so he could keep in touch with him. Omari said he worked for Mark, in Khowst, and in Pakistan, for five or six months, in 2001 and early 2002. Mark was replaced by another official he knew as "Nasir". After Mark's departure Omari reported he was falsely denounced.
