This is not specifically intended as "This should be changed," but rather something to consider regarding some of the article's contents. "Shyness, fearfulness, over submissiveness, aloofness, lack of biddability, or aggression (especially toward humans) are all incorrect traits," stands out particularly. In what breed are any of these traits considered desirable? Additionally, how many of those "traits" in a dog arise as a result of poor training or matchmaking between dog and owner? The various Kennel Club sites (which are cited and hyperlinked well) can describe their "traits," but with shelters, humane societies, and animal control facilities already overtaxed, is it appropriate to encourage potential/inexperienced dog owners that their dog's expression of frustration from inconsistent owner actions and training, exertion of dominance due to submissive owner behaviour, or submissive traits from overaggressive owners are FAULTY TRAITS? There are, without a doubt, dogs who are born with serious faults in their personality or physical makeup--it's a result of probabilities. However, my concern here is that potentially good dogs are getting the short stick because of a perceived "fault" that actually arises from an owner who should have gotten a goldfish. - J.
