I think this article should be categorized assessed biography. I have written the piece and provided notes with links now that are relevant. GA works through the directive given at Wikipedia:Good Articles, so one cannot just tag them as GA; it should go through the GA process of first being listed at Wikipedia:Good articles/Candidates.
