Giacomo Bulgarelli
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Giacomo Bulgarelli (born in Portonovo di Medicina, Bologna, October 24, 1940) was a former italian footballer and TV commentator.
His career (1959–1975) was entirely spent playing for Bologna, then a major team in the italian Serie A. He was a regular in the starting line-up of the last bolognese team to win a title ("Scudetto") in 1964. He's still considered a football legend in Bologna, one of the few modern players to play all his life for his hometown club.
He was capped for the italian national team for the 1962 and 1966 World Cup, scoring two goals and getting injuried in the infamous defeat by North Korea (one of the favourites for the final victory, Italy lost 1-0 in the first stages of the competition and had to exit).
In 1990s he had a brief stint as TV commentator for TMC and Rai, usually with Massimo Caputi and Bruno Pizzul.
