- I moved the following test from c. 1908 here: "The way had been paved in France for his style, for in the latter days of king Louis XIV a change had appeared in the architectural productions of the Baroque style. The endowment of the Renaissance was adapted to the taste of Louis XV's time. It was called the Style of the régence ('Regency'), the salon et boudoir style." The way had not been paved, Oppenordt found no official patronage at first, as the article states, and who after World War I has called the rococo "the salon et boudoir style?" No one will regret this as a loss I imagine. --Wetman 19:37, 12 March 2007 (UTC)
