Gleetchlab is a free music software dedicated glitch music, generative music, sound design and real-time sound processing that runs on Mac OS X, created in 2005
by Gleetchplug Design [1]: a small freeware software company based in Italy that promotes free educational sound softwares and generative music players.
Gleetchlab is a modular software suite capable of many sound treatments and manipulation in realtime, developed with Cycling74 graphical language Max/MSP.
Convolution, noise processing, neural network feedback lines, spectral filtering, random loop reading, matrix patching and other DSP are the core of Gleetchlab2.
Gleetchlab does not use MIDI neither for control or sync with other digital workstations, but uses rewire protocol and has Virtual Studio Technology plugins hosting capabilities.
It is a crossover between an inprovising music tool and a sample preparation software.

Current version available is 2.1 for PowerPC and 2.1.1 for MacIntel
Forthcoming version 2.2 is scheduled to be released before March 1, 2007 All for free.
Gleetchlab2 has been used for the sound design of the bit-scapes installation by graphic designers HFR-LAB and Tobor Experiment (author of Gleetchlab)
featured at the Lovebytes Environment Festival in Sheffield, UK in year 2006.
Gleetchlab2 is constantly downloaded in more than 40 countryes worldwide.
