Glenhuntly Road, Melbourne

Glenhuntly Road is a historically known main road in Melbourne, Victoria. It starts at Beach Road, Elwood, runs through Elsternwick, Caulfield, Glen Huntly and ends in Carnegie.
Glenhuntly Road was named after the emigrant ship "Glen Huntly" from Greenock, Scotland, which landed in Hobson's Bay in Melbourne on April 17, 1840. Many of its passengers had died from fever and are buried in the St. Kilda Cemetery.
Elsternwick shopping centre can be found on Glen Huntly Road. It is a vibrant, "cafe-late" cultured strip shopping centre that offers excellent restaurants, fashion outlets and other trendy shops. Elsternwick is reachable via Tram route 67 or train via the Sandringham line.
