Glycoprotein IIb/IIIa
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In medicine, glycoprotein IIb/IIIa, also gpIIb/IIIa, is an integrin found on platelets. Calcium-dependent association of gpIIb and gpIIIa is required for normal platelet aggregation and endothelial adherence. Its absence causes Glanzmann's thrombasthenia.
