Gnome-panel
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Gnome-panel is a highly configurable launcher and task bar for X windowing environments. Gnome-panel also includes applets for displaying system and other information, and a system notification area, where applications can dock an icon that allows quick interaction with the application without accessing a window proper. Applications can be launched either through a menu or through quick-launch buttons. The default set-up uses only the menu. Gnome-panel is part of the GNOME desktop.
