[edit] Quotes
Chris Martin on "God Put A Smile Upon Your Face": "That came out of playing live and wanting to have something with a bit more bounce. We were really getting into things like P.J. Harvey and Muse - things with a bit more energy." [2]
[edit] Trivia
- When Coldplay performed this song in Sydney on the 27th of June 2006 (The day the Socceroos lost to Italy in the World Cup), they changed the second line to "It shouldn't have been a penalty in the first place" and in a show of support to the crowd and the Socceroos were to proclaim "We never liked Spaghetti much anyway!"
