Gold(III) bromide is a red-brown chemical compound which is a crystalline solid with the emprical forumal (AuBr3), although exist as a dimer (with square planar geometry) with the chemical formula: [AuBr3]2

Gold (III) bromide can be made by heating gold and liquid bromine: Au + Br2 (140°C) → Au2Br6
