Golden Boy Promotions, Inc. is a boxing promotional firm started by six-time world champion boxer Oscar de la Hoya, The Golden Boy. Superstars Bernard Hopkins and Shane Mosley have also joined the firm.
The company has become one of boxing's leading promoters in relatively short order, including Winky Wright, Marco Antonio Barrera, and Diego Corrales among its stable of fighters.
Golden Boy will promote the May 5, 2007 "super fight" between de la Hoya and undefeated Floyd Mayweather at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada. The bout is expected to be one of the most lucrative in the history of the sport.[1]
