Gorgeous Frankenstein
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
After Doyle Wolfgang von Frankenstein's departure from The Misfits in 2002, he had some down time to spend with his wife Gorgeous George who wanted to start a band that she would front.
After realizing she was not the best candidate to sing for this band, Doyle began putting out ads looking for musicians to play with. In 2004 Doyle played a demo tape for previous band mate Glenn Danzig from the original incarnation of The Misfits, Glenn said that he would produce the record and put it out on via his Evilive Music record company.
In September of 2005, Argyle Goolsby of Blitzkid and Mister Monster fame landed the spot as Doyle's bassist in this band. As of August of 2006 Goolsby has been said to have left Gorgeous Frankenstein. He is currently in the band again as of January 2007.
Very little is known of this band. The only information reaching fans about the band is merchandise (t-shirts, hoodies, arm bands, stickers and pins) originally available via the 2005 and 2006 Danzig tours where Doyle appeared to play half hour sets of Misfits classics with Glenn and his current touring band at the time. All is now available via ChaserShirts.com
Fans have been anxiously awaiting news on this band and it's current status. No one has heard much about what is of the band as of now besides radio interviews that Doyle has done prior to, and right after, joining Danzig on the Blackest of the Black tour in 2006.
Doyle has been in the studio working with Glenn's audio engineer recording the yet untitled album without a vocalist at the current time.
