Građanski Zagreb, with a full name Prvi Hrvatski Građanski Športski Klub (1.PHGŠK), (First Croatian Citizens' Sports Club), was established in Zagreb in 1911. It contributed to development of football in Croatia. It was especially successful between the two World Wars.
It was the champion of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia five times (1923, 1926, 1928, 1937, 1940).
After 1945 the club was disbanded and most of the players moved to FK Partizan from Belgrade. The rest of the players moved to new club, Dinamo Zagreb that eventually took over the old club's dresses and similar coat of arms in 1969.
