Greatest Hits - HIStory Volume I is a compilation album by Michael Jackson released in 2001 by Epic Records. This project consists just on the re-release of the CD 1 of his double-album "HIStory" (originally released in 1995) as the first only-greatest hits album released by Jackson in Epic. Released just two weeks after his new album in ten years, Invincible, Greatest Hits - HIStory had a lack of promotion and only peaked at #85 in the U.S. and #15 in the UK.
All the songs were Top 5 hits in the U.S. (except for She's out of My Life, a #10 hit, and Heal the World, which only reached #27), including an amazing 9 #1 hits.
