Gregorio Aráoz de Lamadrid

Comandante General Gregorio Aráoz de Lamadrid (Born San Miguel de Tucumán in 1795, died Buenos Aires 1857) was an Argentine Military leader and veteran of the Argentine War of Independence.
Lamadrid fought alongside General Belgrano and General San Martín in the Argentine War of Independence. In later years he fought alongside General Paz in the Battles of La Tablada, San Roque and Oncativo.
Lamadrid is buried in the Cathedral de San Miguel de Tucumán.
