Gregory Carroll (born July 9, 1977) is an American baritone.
Gregory Carroll, baritone, has performed a varied repertoire as a guest soloist including C.P.E. Bach’s Die Auferstehung und Himmelfahrt Jesu, Dvořák’s Te Deum, and Orff’s Carmina Burana with multiple institutions such as the American Sinfonietta, the Victoria Chamber Orchestra (BC)], and Opus 7 Vocal Ensemble.
Equally at home on the stage, Mr. Carroll has performed roles including the title characters in Ernst Krenek’s Der Diktator, Kirke Mechem’s Tartuffe, and Telemann’s Don Quichotte auf der Hochzeit des Comacho as well as Doctor Gregg in Douglas Moore’s Gallantry, Papageno in Die Zauberflöte, and Crespel in Les Contes d’Hoffmann. In addition, he has sung excerpts from Il barbiere di Siviglia, Così fan tutte, L’Elisir d’amore, Die Fledermaus, Flotow’s Martha, and Sondheim’s Sweeney Todd.
Gregory is currently the baritone soloist at St. James Cathedral and frequently sings with the Seattle Opera. He studied voice performance, voice pedagogy, and music education in his undergraduate degree and continues his graduate studies still. Mr. Carroll has been featured in masterclasses with Nico Castel, Allan Monk, and Carol Vaness and his past teachers include Vinson Cole, Davida Kagen, and Joy Sherman. Gregory is currently a student of soprano Jane Eaglen.
