[edit] Trivia
- This episode is set to reveal the "Great Secret" promised to the Doctor by the Face of Boe in "New Earth". Many unofficial sources have suggested that the message will be along the lines of "You are not alone ...", indicating that other Time Lords survived the the Time War along with the Doctor. Speculation has linked this with John Simm's appearance in The Sound of Drums/Last of the Time Lords, where he is rumoured to be playing the resurrected form of the Master.
- "Gridlock" will also break Star Trek's record of 726 combined episodes, making Doctor Who the world's longest-running sci-fi drama series.
