Grindstone (born 1993) is a thoroughbred racehorse who won the Kentucky Derby in 1996. He became jockey Jerry Bailey's 2nd Kentucky Derby winner and the second in a row for trainer D. Wayne Lukas.
Bred and owned by William T. Young's Overbrook Farm, Grindstone was the son of Unbridled out of the mare Buzz My Bell. Prior to the Derby, Grindstone had won the Louisiana Derby and was second in the Arkansas Derby.
Following his Kentucky Derby victory, Grindstone was retired to a stud career at Overbrook Farm when a fracture was discovered in his leg.
