Gypsies, Tramps & Thieves is the best selling album by singer, actress, comedian and talk show host Cher. It is the seventh album by the sixties star who went solo from Sonny and Cher in the seventies. This Pop album, got Cher her first solo Number #1 single: Gypsys, Tramps & Thieves. Released in September 1971, the album peaked at #16 on the Billboard Hot 200 album chart and remained on the charts for 45 weeks. Another single from the album, "The Way of Love" climbed to the #7 position on the US pop charts in February 1972.
