The Municipality of Hässleholm is a Swedish municipality where the city Hässleholm (pop. 18,000) is seat.
Hässleholm is, by surface area, the largest of the municipalities of Skåne County.
Hässleholm was gradually developed from 1860 in connection with the construction of the main Stockholm to Malmö railway line. It gained city rights in 1914. The name was taken from the nearby Hässleholm farm.
Its coat of arms is derived from the arms of the historical hundred Västra Göinge Hundred, the boundaries of which almost match exactly the boundaries of the modern municipality.
