Hønefoss

Hønefoss is a town in Buskerud county, Norway, administratively part of, and also centre of, the municipality Ringerike. Hønefoss was a formerly a municipality of its own.
Hønefoss has 13,400 inhabitants, and is located north of lake Tyrifjorden, where the river Begna forms Hønefossen waterfall, giving the town its name. Many factories are located here, most notabily the Follum paper mill owned by Norske skog.
Hønefoss celebrated its 150th year of township in 2002.
