[edit] Tsunami Relief
Headed by Hadley teacher Dina Sbarra and fellow teacher Hillary Shumate, 'Read for Relief', a project in which students solicited pledges from family, friends and neighbors in return for reading a given number of pages raised over $4,300.
Students first spent time learning what a tsunami was, how it affected various areas and reading eyewitness accounts. The students donated the money to CARE for tsunami relief efforts.
