The band has no genre in particular. They compose songs that have different energies. Their name was taken from the Greek Translation of "Hallucination", and that is pronounced as (hal'skein) and spelled as (Haluskein). The Vocalist decided to choose that name because their main theme was to give the audience a hallucinating feeling, instead of using illegal drugs.

2003

They are all students of UST(University of Santo Tomas, Philippines). Tristan met Brian, Jeff(his classmate) and Lou during his first year in college. They don't have a name for the band because they still don't have someone to sing for them. They invited their classmate Jonas Mendoza and started to jam. Incubus, All American Rejects, Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Chicosci are their favortites. After sometime, Philip Salem and Victor Papa(both of them are his classmates), joined the band. They performed in their classmate's debut party (Mellanie Reyes). Unfortunately the band was not successful.Their name was "Pilgrimage".

2004

Then Jeff transferred to AMA-Makati, Jonas transferred to Bulacan and studied there while Philip left the band because of time constraint. Tristan got failed on one of his subjects, Physics101, so he had to take Physics102 during summer. He met Jeric Manzanilla(got expelled from his own band) there and they shared their stories about music influence. Both of them are Incubus fan. Tristan invited Jeric to sing on their band named as "Grudgmatch". Now they are only four. Tristan, Lou, Brian and Jeric as their new Vocalist. They performed in Disc Control in Timog Avenue and in Metro Bar, North. They changed their name to "Erotica". During their rehearsals, Tristan and Brian tried to compose songs for the band. It was all set, composed songs and gig schedules. Then the incident happened, Jeric started to be cold and he said that "I've lost the passion guys, I'm struggling for three years and I'm tired of just being appreciated". He quitted and Brian followed his way to the dark room.

2006

Last chance to form a band, Tristan said. He formed "Haluskein" and has currently eight songs. Four of them was finished and the other 4 is still on scratch. They are working now on the fifth song. And they are planning to record on January 2007 and to release it on February2007.

2007

They recorded their four songs. Namely, Crossed Fiction, Decision, Anhin, and A Place of Silence. The other four are not yet recorded. Pangitain, Circumstance, FuBu, and Embrace, are still unrecorded. They already jammed with Hilera, 18th issue, Effinboiche, FuseBoxx , and many more.
