In my opinion, an unbelievably underrated musician. He is one of the very, very few musicians who still sound as fresh and exciting as the day I first heard them. I fell in love with the Trio recordings 50 years ago. Nothing has changed since. I just cannot believe that he remains an undiscovered genius.
And his autobiography " Raise up off me" is about the best of its genre.
