Hans Rausing

Professor Hans Rausing KBE (born in 1926), a British based Swedish born businessman, is among the world's wealthiest people with a reported net worth of 9 billion US dollars (2004). He made his wealth from his co-inheritance of Tetra Pak (later Tetra Laval), a company founded by his father Ruben Rausing that is currently the largest packing production company in the world.
At Tetra Laval, he served as the Managing Director for 37 years until 1996 when he sold his half of the company to his late brother, Gad Rausing, for a reported 7 billion dollars. Over the course of his business career, he has become a specialist in Russian affairs and has made many private investments in both Russia and Ukraine. Rausing currently lives in Wadhurst, East Sussex, England on a 900 acre (3.6 kmĀ²) estate. There, he collects vintage cars and raises deer. Rausing owns a residence in Barbados, and also in his homeland Sweden, where he often vacations.
He is the father of Lisbet Rausing, Sigrid Rausing and one other child.
