Hans Vredeman de Vries

Hans Vredeman de Vries (Leeuwarden, 1527 – Antwerp or Hamburg, ca. 1607) was a Dutch Renaissance architect. In 1549 he moved to Mechelen and Antwerp, designing ornaments for parades of Charles V. In 1570 he fled Antwerp because of the repression by the Duke of Alva. He worked in Hamburg, Prague, Danzig, Amsterdam and The Hague.
