Hansboro is a city in Towner County, North Dakota in the United States. The population was 8 at the 2000 census. Hansboro was founded in 1905.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.5 km² (0.2 mi²), all land.

As of the censusGR2 of 2000, there were 8 people, 5 households, and 1 family residing in the city. The population density was 16.3/km² (43.0/mi²). There were 13 housing units at an average density of 26.4/km² (69.9/mi²). The racial makeup of the city was 100.00% White.
There were 5 households out of which 20.0% had children under the age of 18 living with them, none were married couples living together, 20.0% had a female householder with no husband present, and 80.0% were non-families. 80.0% of all households were made up of individuals and 20.0% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 1.60 and the average family size was 4.00.
In the city the population was spread out with 37.5% under the age of 18, 12.5% from 18 to 24, 12.5% from 25 to 44, 25.0% from 45 to 64, and 12.5% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 33 years. For every 100 females there were 60.0 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 150.0 males.
The median income for a household in the city was $13,750, and the median income for a family was $11,250. Males had a median income of $25,000 versus $0 for females. The per capita income for the city was $9,850. Below the poverty line were 66.7% of people, 100.0% of families, 100.0% of those under 18 and none of those over 64.
