Hard Rock Casino Biloxi

The Hard Rock Casino Biloxi is a casino and resort located in Biloxi, Mississippi. The resort was constructed in 2005 and originally scheduled to open in August. However, a day before the scheduled grand opening, Hurricane Katrina struck the Gulf Coast and destroyed the casino and damaged the resort.
Reconstruction of opening of the property is in limbo because of a legal dispute between owner Premier Entertainment and the trustee for bondholders on the property. Premier has already started architectural work on a new facility, awaiting resolution of the dispute. Until then, workers have started to secure the property for the 2007 hurricane season.
Construction on the new location has since begun; the targeted opening date is officially expected to be sometime during Summer 2007.
