This photo is not of the "base," but one of its facilities. This is a picture of COMMSTA's Tower Zero, Helix House, power station and Very Low Frequency (VFL) site. This area is referred to as "Area A" or "VLF."
The actual base, which contains all personnel support facilities (adminstration, chapel, clubs, swimming pool, athletic fields, bowling center, barracks, dining hall, medical facilities and engineering support), is five miles south of this location on Murat Road and is referred to as "Area B" or "COMMSTA".
