[edit] Playing at UConn
Hasheem Thabeet once stepped on 6'0 Guard and teammate Doug Wiggins in practice, causing painful but not serious injuries to his spine and ankle.
His height makes him an attractive NBA prospect, but, due to his short basketball career, his skills need time to mature before he could succeed at the professional level.
On December 3, 2006, Thabeet tied a UConn record with 10 blocks[2].
Hasheem Thabeet currently averages: 24.4 mpg 7.2 ppg 7 rpg .7 apg 2 tpg .34 a/tpg .3 spg 4.3 bpg, 2.4 pfppg
He was named to the 2007 All-Big East Rookie Team along with fellow teammate Jerome Dyson.
