Haswell, County Durham

Haswell is a village in County Durham, in England. It is situated between Durham and Peterlee.
It is notable as the birth-place of English world champion road racing cyclist Tom Simpson, born 30 November 1937.
Haswell is a charming country village in the hart of the durham country side within a few miles from local town peterlee and 10 mins away from durham city center. Haswell has a local store, a chinese resurant and 3 pubs which are: The grey hourse inn, The wayfarer & The oddfellows arms which is skedueled to be refubished and extended by Zak Southward. At the same time the pub will come under the new name of THE COUNTRY INN. It will serve food daily and a sunday lunch will be on offer. A splendid bear garden overlooking the countryside and a refubishment of the owners acomerdation is also planed for this time.
