Havre, Montana is an station, re-fueling, and service stop for the Amtrak Empire Builder in Havre, Montana. The station had 16,975 boardings during Amtrak's 2006 fiscal year, an increase of 911 boardings from FY2005, making it the second busiest Amtrak station in Montana by passenger boardings. The station, platform, and parking are owned by BNSF Railway. [1][2] On static display, next to the station is a Great Northern Railway steam locomotive. A statue of James J. Hill, the man for which the Empire Builder is named and the creator of the Great Northern Railway, stands nearby.
