Healing Touch

Healing Touch is a controversial healing technique, whose proponents claim is a holistic "energy therapy", that encompasses a group of non-invasive techniques that utilize the hands to clear, energize, and balance the human and environmental energy fields. These "energy fields" have never been shown to exist. With some similarities to Reiki, Healing Touch offers more techniques for physical, emotional and spiritual balancing. "Healers" claim the various "Healing Touch" techniques re-pattern and align the supposed biofield, allowing the innate healing process to occur.
Healing Touch is also a technique used in the game Trauma Center: Under the Knife and Trauma Center: Second Opinion. Using it has various effects depending on the practitioner. When Derek Stiles uses it, time slows down. It is implied that this is also how Dr. Hoffman's Healing Touch works. When Naomi Weaver uses her healing touch, her patient's vitals stabilize every time her actions receive a rating of "Good", "Cool", or "OK"
Healing Touch is a spell in the game World of Warcraft. This spell can only be cast by the Druid class. This skill is learned when the character is created and becomes one of the main healing spells used by Druids.
