Hedemora is a Municipality in the Dalarna (Dalecarlia) province, in central Sweden. Its seat is in Hedemora, with about 7,300 inhabitants.

The town Hedemora was chartered in 1446, which means it is the oldest and only medieval town in Dalecarlia. The centre of Hedemora consists of many old buildings, often built of wood.
