From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Heidi Wyrick (born 1986), is a young woman from Ellerslie, Georgia, believed by many to posses the innate ability to communicate with the spirits of people who have passed away. She is thought by many to be the real embodiment of the young boy portrayed in the film The Sixth Sense, although the producers of the film knew nothing of her when it was made.
[edit] Mr. Gordy and "Kahn"
In February of 1989, the Wyrick family moved to the small town of Ellerslie, Georgia, about 30 miles northeast of Columbus. They moved into a modest, suburban home at the end of a cul de sac, with their three-year-old daughter, Heidi. During the first week in the new house, Heidi answered the door to find an old man with a bandgae on his hand and blood on his shirt. She told her mother his name was "Kahn" and he had asked if she wanted to play on the neighbor's backyard swing. Soon after this, Heidi began to tell her parents about an older man named "Mr. Gordy" who would come into their backyard and play with her. Heidi claimed that Mr. Gordy was always wearing a black suit, and he would often push her on the swing. He had even been inside the house when Heidi would eat her lunch, although he refused any food that he was offered. At first, her parents Lisa and Andy were concerned that someone was trying to kidnap her, but after several weeks, they had decided it was just imaginary friends, and shrugged it off.
A year or so later, Lisa Wyrick's sister bought the house next door, and discovered that a former real estate mogul in the area was named James Gordy. Lisa and Andy quickly assumed that this had to be the Mr. Gordy that their daughter was seeing. My Gordy had died in 1974. when Heidi was presented with a stack of photographs, she was able to correctly identify Mr. Gordy as well.
