Avary expresses his musical talent with this album in a vast array of multi-inturmental tunes; including percussion, acoustic and electric guitar, drums, violin, and most notably piano. The songs on this album reflect his beliefs greatly, as the entity he is speaking to in the songs can be viewed as either one of his friends, Jesus Christ, or what he calls "The Brat Pack", a group of his close friends from his hometown. In fact, Bryce stated in an interview that the album name, "Hello, Good Friend" was directed towards the listener, causing he or she to feel connected with Avary.
