Hengchun
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hengchun (Traditional Chinese: 恆春鎮; Taiwanese: Hêng-chhun; Eternal Spring Town) is the largest urban township in southern Pingtung County, Taiwan. It is the entry way to Kenting National Park, the southernmost National Park in the country. With pristine beaches and a vibrant tourist industry, the Hengchun area often attracts more travellers than local residents. Hengchun town was once surrounded by a city wall and while the wall is no longer entire, the four city gates remain intact. On weekends, the streets of nearby Kenting are filled with cars and tour buses, making it a giant parking lot.
