Herbert Scott (born January 18, 1953 in Virginia Beach, VA) is a former American Football offensive lineman. He attended Kellam High School in Virginia Beach, VA, and went on to star at the Virginia Union University where he was All-Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association three times.
Scott's entire pro career in the NFL was spent with the Dallas Cowboys (1975-1984). In 1975 Scott was one of the "Dirty Dozen" of rookies who helped the Cowboys to Super Bowl X. Scott became a starter at left guard in 1976. In 1980 he became the Cowboy's first All-Pro offensive lineman since Rayfield Wright in 1975. He was a three-time Pro Bowler, attending the game in 1979 through 1981. Teammate Tony Dorsett once said, "When Herb goes after a guy, the next thing you see are feet in the air."
