Heuvelrug
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Heuvelrug is the name of a future municipality in the province of Utrecht in the Netherlands.
It will come into being on January 1st 2006 as a result of the merging of the five municipalities Amerongen, Doorn, Driebergen-Rijsenburg, Leersum and Maarn. This was formally decided by the Balkenende Administration on March 4 2005.
The name refers to the fact that all five municipalities lie on or near the chain of hills called the Utrechtse Heuvelrug.
