[edit] Excess Wiki Linking
Can we be careful about Wiki linking to common English words? For instance: There was no reason to Wiki link to the words men and women in the section about the Watchers. There are many other examples, but I was cleaning up the Mechanics section and got those. NetSerfer 13:19, 10 August 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Characters Section Discussion
- I think 'main characters' are characters who were carried over through entire seasons or, perhaps, listed in the opening credits. All other characters (i.e.: Amanda, Fitzhugh) who visited fairly regularly are 'regular characters'. Any other characters of interest should be 'other characters'.
-
- IIRC, Amanda has recurred throughout a season or two, when she was Duncan's lover again. 80.178.189.70
[edit] Connor MacLeod's influence
I like the tag about Connor's influence to Duncan. How about put it also to Duncan MacLeod's page? I think it's more personal biography. Thanks. HoneyBee 22:45, 3 August 2005 (UTC)
- You're welcome! I did as you requested. You can see it in Duncan MacLeod's biography.
[edit] Main Characters
I'm hoping that people would help editing the main characters pages too like Duncan MacLeod, Methos, Joe Dawson, Richie Ryan, Amanda, Connor MacLeod, etc. Thanks...HoneyBee 11:06, 4 August 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Episodes
Can anyone provide detail synopsis and reviews about the episodes? Thanks....HoneyBee 13:00, 5 August 2005 (UTC)

- Because the highlander episodes page is being flag as copyright violation, we encourage people to make their synopsis and reviews in Episodes of Highlander (Season 1)/temp. Thanks.

[edit] Resizing
Can anyone resize the article page into more preferable size? Because it seems the article page is a bit bigger than expected. I suggest the characters has their own separate page. Thanks. HoneyBee 04:52, 16 August 2005 (UTC)
[edit] The books section
It was mostly (96%) copied from these two sources -
Very uncool. 80.178.196.196 19:35, 27 August 2005 (UTC)
- Uncool, it's true, but shouldn't we have some reference to the other books that have been published? Why did we leave the one? Nae'blis 20:05:46, 2005-08-29 (UTC)
- We should. But these summaries will have to be rewritten, and I don't know them , so I can't do it myself.
- Why did I leave the one? Because it was within the 4% I didn't find in google. :-) 80.178.148.38 05:20, 30 August 2005 (UTC)
- Ahhh, okay. Just making sure we weren't being scammed by the author or something weird. Not having read any of them, I can't add summaries, either. :/ Nae'blis 16:41:16, 2005-08-30 (UTC)

[edit] From a Business Perspective
Highlander: The Series was unique to American series television. It was the first action-hour series ever produced for American audiences by a French production company, Gaumont. It was an international coproduction, and the only American entity involved was the US syndicator, Rysher, which was later bought by Paramount after The Raven had been produced. As a coproduction, it was commissioned by and produced for French, German, Canadian and Japanese television broadcasters, and broadcast in the U.S on a consortium of individual local stations across the country. In that context, for the series to have had such an impressive run of 6 seasons and one year of a spin-off was remarkable and historic and that feat has not been repeated. [edit] Original network/channel for infobox
For tv show articles on wikipedia, the infobox lists the country in which the show was produced and the network/channel that first aired the show in that country. Or in the case of international co-productions, both the producing countries and the channels that first air the show in each of these countries. Obviously Highlander is a very complicated case, but I gather that in France the early seasons were screened by TF1 and later seasons by M6. Can anyone confirm this?
Additionally, is it correct to say that the show premiered in syndation across all of the US and Canada? Or was there a Canadian network involved? If so, I guess that the Candian network should be listed with the French channels in the infobox and the syndication entry removed. --Matthew Humphreys 12:55, 10 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Quickenings
there is already a list of quickenings for this series, why do you want to make another one? yes, it combines with the movie ones. i don't think make another one is necessary. what do you guys think? HoneyBee 09:01, 23 March 2006 (UTC)
- If there is, that's great. Where is it? OzOz
- i am not sure i understand the term of 'list of quickening' you want to make. if you still want to make, please do so. in the mean time, i think it's better to keep it as it is. you should click Quickening to see whether there's a list or not. do you mean the terms like dark quickening, double quickening or....for example duncan killed so and so in every episode? i think the list is too long, it would be better to put the 'list' of immortals/duncan that got quickening in the episode page. whadaya' think? HoneyBee 09:30, 26 March 2006 (UTC)
- As you have probably noticed, I deleted this request. However, I'd like to mention other death-lists in wikipedia which appear to work fine - List of Oz Deaths and List of deaths in The Sopranos series. OzOz
- yeah, i see what you mean with the death list. i think it would be better to put the list in each of the episodes. so we don't have too many pages. but thanks. i think it's a great idea. HoneyBee 11:03, 23 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] US Location
Is it ever mentioned where is Duncan and Tessa's antiques shop or where the Dojo is? (The french location is clearly Paris, but I don't recall them ever mentioning the state\city where Duncan lives in the US) OzOz 09:09, 14 April 2006 (UTC)
- Duncan and Tessa lived in Seacouver, so was the dojo and most of the location in the series. it's a fictional city. HoneyBee 10:11, 14 April 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks. Could you mention places where it is said? OzOz 17:30, 14 April 2006 (UTC)
- I dunno which website though... I just remember it from the series. But I think they usually mention it in most of general highlander series websites.HoneyBee 06:00, 15 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Long article
"This page is 34 kilobytes long. This may be longer than is preferable." We need to edit some of the stuff, guys. Maybe we should move something to different page. Any suggestions? HoneyBee 11:00, 23 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Shortening Fictional Universe
I've decided to cut several info on the section "Fictional Universe". There's a lot that is repeated in the Immortal page and doesn't need to be there. Since the page is so big it would help a lot. Secretaria, 22 May 2006
[edit] Episode Order
I've reorganized the 4th and 5th season episodes in the same order of the DVDs.Secretaria, 16:10 29 June 2006
[edit] There can only be one
How can the words "there can only be one" not appear anywhere on this page?
- Because they don't mean all that much. Just a catchphrase wannabe which didn't catch all that well. 87.69.104.254 14:05, 11 January 2007 (UTC)
